82166 2002-09-22 23:48:00 Hi I have a problem in Windows 98 SE, I am able to restart, however when I try to shut down the computer hangs at the wait screen, and when I try <Shift> restart (fast restart) it hangs on a blank screen, in both cases a hard shutdown/reset is required. This is after installing Visual Studio 6.0 Professional. Does someone know what can cause this, how to fix this?
Thanks.

82167 2002-09-23 00:24:00 You might need the shutdown patch. Do a google (http://www.google.co.nz) for "windows 98 shutdown patch" SoniKalien (792)

Do the three poke, a "Ctrl-alt-Delete" close down all the extra programs, then shut down, If it does not shut down as normal, then ..........
