1314273 2012-11-23 05:42:00 Hi all, been trying to draft up an exploded diagram of a Portal Sentry Turret using Google Sketchup - however I fear I have reached my limits! This is the first time I have used this program so I am hoping more experienced users will have a few tips!

What I am trying to do is have a 'closed' version then next to that an 'exploded' version showing (without the legs) the main body (egg shape) and the two side 'turrets' .

I need enough detail so that I can somehow make the three parts separately and they will fit together . Not sure how size works but I am looking to make one that would be as tall as about my shoulders - so quite large . The two attachments show the side pieces but they are solid - the need to be a 'shell' and also the main body needs to be hollow .

If it becomes too complicated I will just have to resort to the old pen and paper method and make a mold out of polystyrene or 'oasis' (or something easily shapeable) . Then go over the top with sheets of fiberglass to create the shell (three parts) .

Any help is much appreciated!

Sorry, can't help with the Google Sketchup. :)
