1290093 2012-07-23 04:17:00 I just use VLC and WMP with FFD-show, both seem to play everything and I haven't noticed any quality issues. I don't really have any odd format media though, all mine is Xvid or MP4 with a few x264 MKVs thrown in for good measure. dugimodo (138)
1290094 2012-07-23 04:40:00 I use VLC for standard video file playing, or previewing. PowerDVD for DVD playback, as it does the best job at de-interlacing and giving a nice picture. And I juse Foobar2000 for music and conversion, Best, audio, player, ever! goodiesguy (15316)
1290095 2012-07-23 21:41:00 MPC-HC via K-Lite for me too. The codec pack is much simpler these days (less codecs installed by default).

I do have VLC installed for "raw" MXF files from my video camera, but don't like it's interface at all.

1290096 2012-07-23 21:54:00 VLC seems good to me. Cicero (40)

1290098 2012-07-24 15:46:00 VLC is what I use for video. Handles everything I have ever thrown at it except some stupid proprietary thing called 'VP7'. The road cone icon might be strange for a media player but so what? Beats clogging up my registry with a bunch of codecs from who-knows-where...

I found that SMPlayer can handle VP7, however.
