Any body know how to turn off the computer with phone(or message). I just heard about it and I don't know so much First I just thought that this is impossible but A my friend clear that No this is right.so please share with me all the procedure.so thanks in advance. |

VNC or RDP is the easiest way to do this. You can also do it via the likes of LogMeIn / TeamViewer. |

There could be a remote control app that has a shutdown feature. I've got PC Remote for Windows Phone on mine. |

Yup, if it's a smartphone a VNC/RDP or SSH session could be used to shutdown, alternatively you could send an email and have an app listening for particular keywords to run shutdown. Another alternative would be to run a website through which you could logon and connect to a local terminal session (local on the server that is) and issue shutdowns although this *might* pose some security concerns.
I'm guessing you are looking for a simple solution like texting "off" and your PC shuts down? |
