| 82840 | 2002-09-25 00:05:00 | Ian, In Outlook Express click on TOOLS | OPTIONS | SECURITY and untick the box "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus" Note you may only want to do this for the actual message/attachment you wish to view and you know is from a 'safe' source. You can turn this option on/off as required. You do have an up-to-date antivirus software package installed. ? Babe. |

| 82841 | 2002-09-25 00:08:00 | I discovered a similar problem with Outllook after I downloaded a security update from Microsoft. They prevent the transmission of executable files through Outlook. (This includes incoming and outgoing) From what I've read there is no option to turn it off. If I know soomeone is sending me a file I always request it in a zipped form. Unless someone can suggest any means of working around it you're probably stuck with it. |
