82745 2002-09-24 12:19:00 That suggests your drivers are not XP compatable at a guess.

Doesnt look like there are XP drivers for the chipset, there are Win 2000 ones ??

Look on Google for sites.

82746 2002-09-24 22:55:00 Will the onboard graphics work when you don't have the other graphics card installed? Because you've got a graphics card inserted, the BIOS may automatically turn off the onboard graphics (I think this is what usually happens). You could try turning it on in the BIOS.

But more likely the onboard graphics doesn't support multi screen setups - to set up multiple displays you must have 2 video cards that both support multiple displays, and some older onboard (I think even some newer ones) don't.

82747 2002-09-25 04:43:00 You can likely pick up an old PCI on for about $20 from Trade-me, SIS are good, and Trio also, They're popular. Look online to see if it's multi-monitor compatible before you bid or buy or whatever!

Fromthen on, Just insert the PCI card and that should be it!!!

82749 2002-09-25 08:21:00 If it's PCI then it should be multi-screen capable. They just don't make on-board video as good as it could be :(
