82724 2002-09-24 11:49:00 You are not going mad (or been eating mushrooms) - I think PressF1 is becoming unglued at the seams .... check out the other posts on the subject. Jen C (20)

82728 2002-09-24 22:49:00 Just wondering, Sal, have you just installed Kazaa Lite 2.0? If so, then that'll explain why you've got no ads - it replaces your HOSTS file to stop ad pages from displaying on websites.

82729 2002-09-24 23:05:00 For what it's worth. I couldn't read this posting first thing this morning. All I had was the ad at the top then a blank page.

I've done nothing to my computer settings, haven't added or deleted anything but I can get the page ok.

Just what is Kazaa (I notice it's mentioned a lot)

82730 2002-09-24 23:14:00 Hi guys,

The page blowout problem you guys were seeing was being caused by use of "pre" tags, and huge amounts of spaces/lines of text. We've edited the posts and this seems to have fixed the problem :)

82731 2002-09-24 23:23:00 Hi Iris. Kazaa is a peer-to-peer file sharing system (one of many), that allows users of the programme to swap files between each other via the Internet. Typically used for sharing MP3 music, but can also be used to share virtually any file type, from programme applications, documents and more. Also hugely used for swapping material of a dodgy or copyrighted nature, which is why it has such notoriety. The fact that it's P2P means that transfers between computers go directly between each other, unlike the famous Napster, that used a kind of hub through which all transfers went through. Greg S (201)
