| 82595 | 2002-09-24 10:24:00 | Evening all I use a laptop almost exclusively. I have a basic $2,000 PC Company laptop (with a 256ram upgrade) which works perfectly for me, except that when I come home, it's hook up the network, the printer, the mouse, the power cord, the removable hard drive (40gig USB - oh so handy)...man what a lot of mucking around (wait I'm getting somewhere). Sure, if you spend many hundred (or more) you can get a docking station for some of the more expensive models. Here's my thought. Is there, or is there not, a USB docking station out there? One which I could plug any other USB devices into, my network lead, the power cord and even the LPT printer? Man, I would kill for one. I'd even *buy* one. Anyone heard of such a beast? A search around some websites was fruitless (yes, no fruit and no USB docking station). |

The mouse and citidisk are USB but printer LPT and network is normal RJ45. It would be great to come home (or at work of course) and plug in a single USB cable to do everything... |
