| 82496 | 2002-09-28 23:40:00 | Well done - I am obviously too pessimistic! Have you tried running the Casio program in compatability mode? On the shotcut to it, right click - properties - compatability Tab and select there. The program is obviously not DOS based, so you really shouldnt be having these problems. Some later motherboards treat serial ports a little differently, my Palm Xv would not communicate with a newer PC, the PC would lock up. It was a hardware thing and Palm supplied an adaptor to eliminate it. I doubt that is your problem though. |

| 82497 | 2002-09-29 07:51:00 | Yes tried all the compatibility modes, no-go there. I'm going to try uninstalling and re installing next, but I'm not holding my breath! I'll write to casio again tomorrow and see what turns up. I'd have prefered to have had no problem, but what can you do? As the Casio can connect with the comp via the 3rd party software (xlink/win 2.6) I guess there isn't a hardware prob... I'll let you know if I ever get it going (I mean WHEN I get it going!) catch ya Trev |
