| 83450 | 2002-09-26 08:53:00 | When i got my computer all the windows setup files where copyed on to my harddrive in a HIDDEN Partition. Is there any way of viewing this Partition so i can Back up all my windows setup files. This Hidden Partition is only 1.5GB Big, but you can't enter it through My Computer. Thanks for any help |

| 83451 | 2002-09-26 09:21:00 | Look in start, settings, control panel for tweakui. If it is there, run it and go to the 'my computer' tab. Any drive letter without a tick is invisible. Put the tick back in and you will be able to see it. | wotz (335) | ||
| 83452 | 2002-09-26 12:30:00 | You can use Partition Magic to hide/unhide the partition. If the data is a Ghost Image file, you can read & write to it with "Norton Ghost" even if it is hidden. Operate Ghost from Dos. |

| 83454 | 2002-09-26 20:03:00 | I take it you only have either a recovery cd or your system is restored entirely from the hidden partition. If so I would be very careful about altering those files, check with your PC manufacturer before altering as changing the settings in there may cause something to not work. An alternative may be creating your own setup cd with the latest drivers ets and also the essential programs you want on your computer | dipstick01 (445) | ||

All my Windows programs are installed on a partition the same as yours . I contacted the PC manufacturer and they sent me a set of 3 Windows backup discs . They only time I will need them is if my HD dies BALDY:-) |
