| 83270 | 2002-09-26 00:20:00 | I have tried to connect to the internet in linux, but after I hear it dialing up, this thing pops up and says somthing like "the ppp daemon has died unexpectedly". Whats wrong? | forrest44 (754) | ||
| 83271 | 2002-09-26 02:53:00 | I had a similar problem some time back, which took months to sort out as i couldn't find any info to help at the time and was just trail and error... but i did end up getting it to work. Take a look at the below doc i done... jove.prohosting.com I think that it probably may have something to do with init strings, so try that first.... |

The latter seems to be far more reliable (and easier to configure). For some clues, have a look at your /var/log/messages file. Post the relevant part here if you find something suspicious in there but don't know how to follow it up. |
