| 83100 | 2002-09-25 11:31:00 | I'm no longer able to save any e-mail attachments other than .doc files, attachments such as .zip, .bak or .txt files appear shaded when I click on the attachment "paper clip". I've been experiencing enormous problems with OE lately, the program seems to be bursting at the seams and regularly crashes (in particular, when I open Windows Explorer at the same time). I've upgraded to Internet Explorer 6.1 but that doesn't make any difference. Also, in an attempt to slim OE down, I've deleted all temporary Internet files and cookies. TIA for your help! |

| 83101 | 2002-09-25 11:41:00 | We have just had the email attachments problem (again) this morning. The solution is: 1. In OE go to Tools / Options / Security 2. Remove tick from "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus" and OK your way out. Some other things you might like to try are listed here (pressf1.co.nz) and perhaps here (pressf1.co.nz). |

If selections are greyed out with paper clip try double clicking on the header of the message and open the message in a new window and see if they are now active. |
