| 83090 | 2002-09-25 09:50:00 | When push comes to shove how much difference does the speed of the ram make? Would I be better of with 512 megs of 266 ram or 256 of 333? Cheers |

| 83094 | 2002-09-25 11:30:00 | if you are getting a kt333 chipset then get 333ddr ram. how much depends on what you can aford. you can always add more later. | tweak'e (174) | ||
| 83095 | 2002-09-27 00:47:00 | I just done what you're considering, I went for an Athlon XP 2000+ which was only about $40 dearer that the 1800+ . I kept my old DR266 RAM and bought a Chaintech7VJL motherboard ( . chaintechusa . com/eng/products/SOCKA/7vjl . asp" target="_blank">www . chaintechusa . com) from PCGamer . co . nz . A really impressive combination at a very good price |

| 83097 | 2002-09-27 09:47:00 | Thanks for the comments. I will go for 512megs of 333 memory. I can do the whole thing for about $750 which fits the budget (more or less). |
