2002-09-25 11:40:00 | When does it do this? Just when you want to watch a DVD, or every time you want to put a DVD or CD into the drive? If it just happens when you want to watch a DVD, try putting the DVD in before you open the DVD software package. Mike.

2002-09-25 21:48:00 | Hi Derek, you have the same drive as me, and I'm running XP Pro SP1 and have no problems with it. I'm wondering if your CD Autorun is being too helpful - you could try turning CD Autorun off and see if that makes a difference. Also there are firmware updates for your drive available - if you know what you're doing you could try updating your DVDs firmware, which might make a difference. Mike. PS do you know a guy called Steve Martin?

2002-09-25 23:25:00 | hi,could you use remote assistance on my computer,if could send me your e-mail address | chucky99 (2026) | |
2002-09-25 23:36:00 | not sure if my PC can handle it... I'll wait until you've tried the firmware... Have you ever flashed a firmware before? you want to be VERY careful with it - you can destroy your drive, and either way it voids any warranty. Mike.

2002-09-25 23:40:00 | go to perso.club-internet.fr Firmware Page[/url] for the new firmware (there's even a region free firmware for your drive, but only if you haven't got it locked already)... but be warned - you can ruin your drive if something goes wrong. and I'm not taking any responsibility for that :) Mike.
