83643 2002-09-27 02:02:00 HI All

I've had this error message on different machines at different times. Most times it goes away, but now on one particular machine it won't.

The people here share their calendars in Outlook 2000 using the Net Folders feature. It works well, emailing changes to someone's calendar very easily.

But (as always) this message comes up with some of the machines:

Net Folders is unable to send out updates to your folders due to an error. One probable cause is that you have exceeded your server quota. If this continues to be a problem, please speak with your network administrator.

Now, I have searched the MS KB and found a small reference to this saying that the sender's or receiver's shared folder is too large. Bollicks!
The machine I'm on now, which has the error message, has a shared calendar size of 77k, which is you could say, just a little below the allowed 2meg limit.

Any ideas/has anyone struck this before? Driving me crazy...

83644 2002-09-27 05:11:00 Is it (by default) sharing (or thinks it is sharing) the mail boxes as well? That includes all the contents of "deleted". plus all the attachments.....

Grasping at straws...

83646 2002-09-27 05:33:00 HI GF & BR - thanks for the quick response

Only sharing the calendar - not all the folders (unfortunately!).

Babe - have been to that MS webpage many, many times and the only relevant bit:

Net Folders Error Messages
You may receive the following error messages while setting up or using Net Folders, each error message is indented below. Use the suggestions in the "What to try" section to resolve the problem.

Net Folders is unable to send out updates to your folders due to an error. One probable cause is that you have exceeded your server quota. If this continues to be a problem, please speak with your network administrator.
What to try
This error occurs when you send an update that is larger than 2MB. Remove the newest data/items and add them back a little at a time, sending updates each time something is added.

that doesn't help me at all, funnily enough. The update (even when checking the actual net folder email that ) goes out is tiny.
Other suggestions?

Cheers and thanks again

Hmmm so what is the size of the Folder that contains or receives the updates, is it >= the 2 MB limit. Also, have you have maximized your default update size. (I think the default is 1MB)
