| 83545 | 2002-09-26 12:41:00 | ok, now that there are participation levels. I dont want people downloading from me who dont share themselves, the problem being that the downloads are very persistant... if I cancel someone, they start up again 2 seconds later.... is there a way to block a user? |

| 83546 | 2002-09-26 13:05:00 | I don't see how you can tell if someone uploading off you, isn't sharing. If you go to Tools > Traffic, you can tick "Disable Sharing Of Files with Other Users" But I am not sure if that stops you from downloading. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it. As long as you are getting what you want and the others are getting what they want, everyone is happy. BALDY:-) |

| 83547 | 2002-09-26 13:10:00 | previously that was my position, but I would prefer people who dont have something in return not have access to what I share. the participation level is like a scale, you download lots the participation goes down, you have lots shared & uploaded the participation goes up. I left my PC running today & came home to a participation of 179... was quite happy, then I saw all these people uploading off me with participation of zero & was kinda annoyed |

There is a rather successful hack that bumps your particiation to whatever level you want (mine is currently on the maximum of 1000, but I can set it to what I want). So, those with high ratings are not guaranteed to afctually have earned them. Tough luck aye! G P |
