83660 2002-09-27 02:30:00 Have fiddled with margins and made then as small as possible, but for some reason when I print a document it often loses some of the top and bottom...especially if I add a border. Annoying! Paper set to A4, portrait view. Have set top and bottom margins to .51", the smallest setting. Usually only happens when I add a border. Side margins are fine. bardin (1950)
83661 2002-09-27 02:35:00 Have you checked the margins on your printer, I find word will cut off half of my page numbers at the bottom unless I either increase the borders in word, or go to borderless printing on my printer. NB has anyone else noticed that word 2000 will print page 1 of 1, page 2 of 2 etc. SaAB (1292)
83662 2002-09-27 02:41:00 Borders!

You need to go into the option "Format - borders - page borders - options to select settings.
Borders are NOT affected by margin settings, 2 separate things.

And the other issue raised was Page 1 of 1, Page 2 of 2 etc.

This is a well known bug that is cured by applying the free service packs to office 2000 (SP1 fixes it I think)

83664 2002-09-27 02:47:00 Since I don't use borders, I tend to use margin and border interchangeably, but ok. On the second point, nice to know it isn't just me but I'm unlikely to go downloading big service packs, I'm always hoping pc world will include such on their cd but I've only ever seen ones for earlier or later versions. Oh well. SaAB (1292)
