| 84072 | 2002-09-28 06:21:00 | Hi. Thought I am connected to Xtra (with my 56k int. modem) the internet will not work , browsing, messenger, email, noting! It will recieve about 200 bytes them, D-D-DIE! - nothing will work, get messages that the server cant be found, pop3 unavailive, could not sig nin etc. etc. This has happened for the past four days, so U rang Xtra ten suppirt, they said it was beyond them. I have thought of taking in my 8 month old PC to get checked out, but I was told by the goy on the phone it is more likley to be a config or driver etc. problem than a faulty modem. If I can....I'd rather save myself $50 and get help here. I have an AMD Atholn XP 1.41GHz, 40Gb Hard Drive, 256Mb RAM and Win XP home with a 56k internal Intel HaM F/V/D Modem. PLEASE HELP, MUST RESORT TO ACHIENT 75MHz., 16Mb RAM SYSTEM TO SURF NET, AM GOING NUTS! Thanks Ben |
