| 83941 | 2002-09-28 04:59:00 | Well in the recent years I've only bought around 4 to 6 games. That was over a period of around 5years. So that is 1 game per year. Now I've got my own computer and it's capable of running games. So I think I may be buying more in the years to come. |

| 83942 | 2002-09-28 05:06:00 | Own an old PC and an older PSX Too broke to buy anything but hire about 10 a year from the video shop.. gota get 'em before they get scratched.. :D I f I could afford to, I'd buya PS2 (with Linux Kit!) and probably about 10 - 15 games year for it. PC wise, about up to 10 games /year, again if I had a decent PC and some money.. |

During the 12 months prior to that probably two or three games were bought . Year before that a few more . Have had a couple of games given to us each year every year by the kids' loaded Uncle in Australia when he's finished with them . The kids have lost interest in PC games . Probably because a)The PC is getting on, b)Too much competition with three people arguing over whose turn it is and c)The Playstation and telephone has taken over . For the Playstation: no games have been bought this year so far, can't remember how many last year, probably four or five . Currently have no plans for buying any games or console . Hmmm, never mind about how you lot find time to play your games, I'd like to know how you can afford them all!!! *gives Mike penetrating stare* |

| 83944 | 2002-09-28 06:44:00 | I don't want to spoil surprise or anything, but say you commit to a given flavour of console and you buy four games a year at $120 for most these days for PS2, that is about $500 per year on top of the console. Four games a year isn't many. But if there are 600,000 consoles in NZ like I heard recently, and every owner buys one game per year, that is a $60 million market. keep the posts coming, this is interesting. robo. (FYI, I have a PS, two PS2s, and an XBOX in the house right now, although two go back on Monday, my son is in heaven and my daughter is so happy she has stopped reading Sabrina Secrets) |

| 83945 | 2002-09-28 06:56:00 | Well a quick look around the room gives me a count of about 6 of the top dollar games and several more of the older ones as they come down in price, (not guilty - they aren't mine, my partners) which have been brought in the last year and pc games of course ;-) !!!. Christmas and birthdays are pretty much a sure thing for my partner game wise and no doubt this xmas will be no different! **:-) This is where one of those next cool prize games would be most appreciated Robo ]:) (not hinting or anything tho):D |

It might be old and daggy, but its fun. Buy a couple of games a year for the PC, and as many as I can for the Sega. They are cheap as chips. BALDY:-) |

| 83948 | 2002-09-28 07:46:00 | Well for the PC I'm probably some where in between 5 and 15 games per year, being a mixture of recent releases and oldies. I do have an old PSX but hardly ever play it any more, maybe once or twice this year. However before this year I used to buy about 10 playstation games a year most of them being recent release with a couple of platinum titles. I'm not planning on getting another console yet as I'm waiting for the next wave like Chilling_Silence. If I did have the spare money though I would buy a PS2 but at the moment I have other things to buy like a GeForce 4 ti for the PC and stereo equipment for the car. Cheers Sam H |
