Hi there, I noticed my outlook express messages are sent with the wrong date and time . The date and time is accurate in settings and on the tool bar. I run ME and dont know how to get into Bios to check the time, date setting. Also my friend who runs win 97 has the same problem. any ideas? Ta :x :x

84110 2002-09-28 10:34:00 Are the regional settings set to the right country and timezone...?

And Windows 97 does not exist, Windows 3.1, 95, 98, 2000, XP (no 97)
You may be confused with Office 97?

84112 2002-09-29 08:00:00 Thanks , but it doesnt help, (the thread) I sent myself an email on an alternative address and it was incorrect, time and date. Yes the time is set correctly , I have cheked all but the Bios , which I dont know how to check on ME thanks anyway. ariel (2060)
84113 2002-09-29 09:05:00 You dont specifically mention if you checked in control panel - regional settings, to make sure that New Zealand, Auckland-Wellington time zone is selected.

If another country is selected, you will have the right time on the PC but the wrong time and day on the e-mails.

84114 2002-09-29 10:08:00 Hi there, yes the regional settings are correct, the only thing I think I havent cheked is the Bios which I dont know how to do on ME. Thanks ariel (2060)
84115 2002-09-29 11:15:00 The BIOS has nothing whatever to do with ME per se, its underlying any operating system.

To access it depends on the motherboard, but usually F! or DEL or F10 or F2 when the computer is booting will drop you into the BIOS.

ME gets its date and time from the BIOS at boot up so if they are right on the PC under windows I dont think its the BIOS.

EXACTLY how far out is the date and time, and is it always out by the same amount? Thats going to be a powerful clue as to what is wrong.
