| 84030 | 2002-09-28 04:14:00 | I have a BearPaw 1200CU Scanner (made by Mustek). The bulb or what ever gives off the light is blown and needs replacing. According to the Mustek web site this scanner does not use a Cold Cathode flourescent tube but a type of LED. This sound strange but thats what is says. Can anyone back up this information or give me some places to look for a replacment bulb/LED. Thanks for any help |

It eliminates the lenses and mirrors (mechanical parts) used in the older scanners. I guess that Mustek are using the same thing. Electronic parts are cheaper to build than precision mechanical ones. That keeps the factory costs down. | Graham L (2) | ||
