83833 2002-09-27 12:32:00 Is the extra cache featured on the Western Digital SE worth an extra $40 Ron Bakker (356)
83834 2002-09-27 12:50:00 depends on if your system is fast enough to make use of it. tweak'e (174)
83835 2002-09-27 12:54:00 It would depend entirely on each and every application. Yes and No.

BUT, the SE came out the winner in next months PC Authority magazine tests

83836 2002-09-27 14:13:00 I've got the WD-800JB (80gig, 7200rpm 8meg, cache) and it goes really well. They're considerably faster than most other IDE drives depending on what they're being used for.

By the way, do you work for PC Authority or know some people that do godfather

83837 2002-09-27 14:19:00 No JM, I bought the October Magazine!

I often get it early by buying it "over the ditch" if I am working there, but this time it was early here.

I thought you were meaning next month, as in the one which hasn't been to the printers yet.
