84522 2002-09-30 09:47:00 it has very poor game performance for it's price. it's more low end graphics app user orientated.

84523 2002-09-30 09:55:00 If no one minds me asking, what exactly is tv-out for? Just for watching TV on your computer's monitor? Or is it an advantage for other things like video editing or something? Why do people want/use them? Susan B (19)
84524 2002-09-30 10:03:00 if you have a tv bigger than your monitor you use TV-Out to watch movies that you have on your harddrive on the TV.

I've got Tvout on my card and I watch the movies I have on the TV, plus sometimes I play some of my games on the TV.
Like flight simulator 2k2. I can sit on my couch with the joystick playing :D

To watch TV on your computer monitor you need a VIVO or TV-IN. Or a TV-Card.

TV-Out is alot more common and usually you get a TV-Out with your video card. (all new cards have TV-Out i think).

(sorry, the kids have played their Austin Powers videos a dozen times this week and it's kind of infectious :D)

Thanks for that. It was something that's been puzzling me for ages but I understand much better now. :-)

Yeah it does have better performance. But for the price you're better off spending less on the MX440 or more for the Ti4200. :)

Ti4200 has DX8.1.
