| 84356 | 2002-09-29 04:53:00 | I upgraded to XP pro and everything went smoothly except I cannot connect to the internet. The modem dials and makes all the right noises, but when it comes to the bit ' verifying user name and password ' it says my password is wrong. I have retyped imy user name and password several times and it was definitely correct. Any ideas why this happens? Any help would be greatly appreciated. | hinesg (2069) | ||
| 84357 | 2002-09-29 04:59:00 | XP has a problem where it forgets the saved password sometimes. Just do as you have done and retype username and password in again. If it still fails with password error then you are using an incorrect password or you have your caps lock on. |
