I'm guessing Yahoo must have sold a list of email addresses, as I've never used that particular address in any of the other 16 choices. How annoying. :( I doubt very much that anyone just guessed the address, because the email address has 15 letters in the user name, which makes up 2 names (first and last names LOL), and neither of them are names that are used today anywhere in the world ;)... so what else than Yahoo selling my email address. It's not that long ago that we had a government employee in Inland Revenue or Social Welfare or one of those depts selling customer details to debt collectors or something . I can't remember the exact details but I think they went to jail for it . |

| 85082 | 2002-10-02 03:34:00 | I think that Yahoo! recently introduced a new option in it's options - marketing prefernces. I think that it is only yahoo.com address affected though. I could be wrong but I haven't found that option under my yahoo.com.au or yahoo.co.nz address yet. :-) If Yahoo! have sold my address to spammers that may explain why all of a sudden in the last month I have been getting the odd bit of spam in that account. But why incest stuff?? I have never visited those webpages and I have never visited porn either cos' I have a computer program that monitors everywhere I go put on by my parents. So I am really blocked from viewing them. The program is passworded and if it is shutdown then I am in big trouble!!! :-( Brendonny |
