| 85003 | 2002-10-01 08:52:00 | Booting Knoppix off this months CD works well (ie sees and handles my SCSI card / RAM / CPU / Mouse etc) upto when it says Starting X11... and then it flicks to a blank black screen and does nothing, even if I wait for 5 minutes plus (several times). My setup: PII 300 with 192M Ram. Any pointers anyone? |

| 85005 | 2002-10-02 08:13:00 | Hi Geoffrey I've got a S3 Inc. Trio3D/2X card... so I'm guessing you're thinking the knoppix CD doesn't have the driver for it... Is the CD a coaster then? Guess I'll have to go the whole hog & install the Redhat distro I've been summoning up the courage to try... |
