85395 2002-10-02 09:53:00 I have 2 HDs; C:\ is 1.2 GB, whose entire contents (O/S, programs, etc) I must transfer to D:\, which is 1.7 GB. Diskcopy doesn't work, and using Xcopy means picking over all the Read-only and Hidden files. Is there a better way to do the job? Bob-Robert (1996)
85396 2002-10-02 10:05:00 1. Type xcopy/?|more at the command prompt and pick the appropriate switches.

2. Use a disk imaging program

3. Get someone else to do it.

Use Xcopy from a bootable floppy on FAT formated drives - can't easily recognise NTFS drives from DOS prompts.
