85541 2002-10-02 23:03:00 Hi all,

1. Sorry I have been away so long. Been on a holiday.

2. The problem that I have come accross is quite interesting. I have found that when I take a screen-shot I in fact have two screens. I also realised this (but ignored it for a while) when my mouse would go outside of the viewing area of my screen and go to the left.

The problem is troubling too. I have too screens yet I can see only one. I would much prefer it if I was able to only have one screen, so that when I took a screen-shot I would see the screen that I could view. Sorry if I didn't explain it very well. If you didn't understand, please tell me where you got lost.

Thanks in advance,

Zan.

85543 2002-10-03 00:12:00 You may have two monitors enabled in your setup, perhaps your video card has a dual output of tv-out as well

right click on a blank area of desktop, select properties and select settings - advanced.

Look in there to disable the secondary monitor

85544 2002-10-03 00:25:00 I lost you after the word "holiday"... SoniKalien (792)
85545 2002-10-03 00:28:00 Already had a browse through there, though no luck . I have however, when I have a look at the display properties that there are two options there . One-the "Digital Flat Panel (1024*768) on S3 Graphics Savage/IX" and the second of which is "Default Monitor on S3 Graphics Savage/IX"

To show you what is wrong, I have uploaded the file . The URL for it is:

. angelfire . com/mi4/morph/screenprob . jpg" target="_blank">www . angelfire . com

Note how the screen is split into two . The right screen which is blue is the one which I can't see . My cursor however, is able to enter it . Any idea on how to remove it?

85547 2002-10-03 00:40:00 Is that a virtual desktop I see there? SoniKalien (792)
85548 2002-10-03 01:25:00 Phate, is this a notebook computer we are talking about??

If so, they usually always have dual video out, so just DISABLE one of them, it looks like you have them both enabled as extended desktop.

It really would help to have more info..............

85549 2002-10-03 02:23:00 Sorry, I am being a little sketchy. Yes it is a notebook. And also yes, I would love to disable one of them - if I knew how.

As much spec as I can give you on the top of my head (Budget notebook).

Gateway Solo 5300
PIII 600MHz
256 PC133 SDRAM
6Gb (That won't help).

And not that any of that would help.
