| 85315 | 2002-10-02 06:17:00 | Recently I had a system crash and had to re-install WinXP. When my machine boots it gets as far as "verifying DMI pool data" then comes up with a message "OS NOT INSTALLED INSERT SETUP DISK AND PRESS ANY KEY". When you press any key WinXP loads (there is no need for a setup disk). How can I get around this and get the system to boot to the log on screen without pressing any key? | mikecook (2113) | ||
| 85316 | 2002-10-02 10:00:00 | 1. Reinitialise the Master Boot Record (fdisk/mbr from the A: command prompt of a Windows/DOS boot disk), or failing that 2. Reformat and reinstall XP, or failing that 3. Check the hardware for faulty components.
