| 85907 | 2002-10-04 00:12:00 | I had Frontpage Express on Windows 98, but i upgraded to XP. I have had a look at 3 tutorial things on installing frontpage express: www.geocities.com www.onethirty.com donnayoung.org But i have had some problems. I cant install IE 5 because it says i have a later version. I dont want to uninstall 6, i just want to install frontpage from IE 5, I dont have a CD with IE 5 on. And i didnt understand a thing about the Personal Web Server thing. I want to download frontpage express from microsoft, since they would have the latest stuff, so dont tell me to download the files off those websites. donnayoung.org LOOKED ver easy, but when i tried, it said i had a later version, and i couldnt install it. Can someone please help me here. ps. Mozilla Rocks! (so far) |

Well, since you know best, you do it your way :P I believe that Microsoft no longer offers Frontpage Express for download or anything, so you'll probably have no luck downloading it from the Microsoft website. You could try downloading it from those sites, but I think that it probably won't work as your version of IE is newer than the one it requires, and this seems to be causing you problems (as you noted). I think you may be out of luck, unless you can get one of the copies from those sites to work. Microsoft won't help, neither will their website :) Mike. |
