| 85871 | 2002-10-03 23:15:00 | Hi there, I have just tried to run knoppix linux on my really old computer (cyrix 6x86mx 160mhz, 32mb pc66 ram, and a legend 64mi+ video card. I have created the swapfile and there is enough space avaliable in that for it to run, but when it first starts up, there is no penguin on the screen, like there is when I run it on my new computer, and on the old one I cant get past the colourful loading words, the screen just goes blank and locks up. When I tried running it in expert mode, my video card was not on the list of options. Maybe I need a driver for this old card for linux?? I don't know. Any help would be greatly appreciated |
