| 85629 | 2002-10-03 02:14:00 | What are the differences between 'double-sided' - chips on both sides and 'single-sided' SDRAM modules? I was told that 'single-sided' modules (256 MB) may not work in older motherboards which uses only older 'double-sided' modules. There is a shop selling this 'single-sided' SDRAM for $58.00 + GST; sounds cheap. Are they reliable? Comments, please Is it true? Cheers bk |

| 85630 | 2002-10-03 02:59:00 | Hi bk t,not sure what the difference is exactly,but yes,my old PC Direct 166 would not recognise a stick of 128M single sided RAM,it would only see 64M,and still not work properly then,so if you have an old PC,you would probably be better off with the double sided stuff,but you may be able to try it and see.
