86293 2002-10-05 07:05:00 Hi, When I try to open "Imaging" I get an error message saying "The Image Scan control cannot be found. Reload Imaging". It then goes to another box saying "Kodakimg has caused an error in <unknown>. Kodadimg will now close.

As the program came already installed in the computer by PC Company, we don't have anything to reload. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

My second problem is that somehow I've managed to reset the computer to open all image files with imaging, whereas I used to have it set to open into Adobe Photoshop. Any ideas on how to reset would be appreciated as well.

Thanks
Regards, Lynda

86294 2002-10-05 07:24:00 Your PC would of come with a "Recovery Disk" which you should be able to reload Imaging from.

To change what program you want your images to open with following the instructions in this FAQ (pressf1.co.nz) on changing file associations.

Hope this helps.

86295 2002-10-05 07:33:00 OK, I have just realised (duh!) that you won't find Kodak Imaging on the PC recovery disk ... sorry about that. You should have software for your scanner still. Jen C (20)

FAQ #13 will help.

Why not? I thought Kodak imaging was installed as part of a 9x version of Windows (can't remember which one)?

86298 2002-10-05 12:55:00 You are right Mike - Kodakimg.exe is in the Win_16.cab File for WinME.

I had a quick look on my PC Recovery disk and couldn't see it but it is supposed to be there somewhere ....

I am having a dizzy night tonight - remind me not to answer posts between supervising the punch-up bouts between my PC and its FAT and allocation chain problems!
