| 86218 | 2002-10-04 22:49:00 | Hi all, Well, I am currently on Jetstart from Xtra and with everyone going onto Xtra, I have noticed that the speed isn't all that fast. Now, I am currently on a 128k (I think.) and the 5Gb cap is also in my way. Is there any other ISP that will provide me with the same service, maybe a 256k and the cap 5Gb or above? Thanks, Zan. |

What are your download speeds (NOT P2P as these can be limited by many other factors)? Should be about 16 kB/s. Depending on compression available a bit less or more at times. |

Its a burst value, and its 50% dearer than Jetstart "TelstraClear does not guarantee access speeds to the Internet using CLEAR Net Tempest 256K. With respect to international Internet access, the Customer may burst up to 256K subject to bandwidth availability. However, bursting ability cannot be guaranteed at any time. " It is flat rate unlimited, however the contract is month by month, so no guarantee it will be uncapped. Jetstart was this way as well. |
