86192 2002-10-04 22:45:00 Has anyone had dealings with the ALURIA software DR. SPEED, that is supposed to speed up internet connections by way of ensuring the each download package (segment) has a completely full contingent of data?

86193 2002-10-05 02:19:00 I don't know much about these 'speed up' programs. No doubt there are niches that can be maximised but from what I've seen they speed up yr browser just like racing stripes speed up yr car. :) mark c (247)
86194 2002-10-05 05:36:00 gee that dr.speed site is a load of BS! all it is is a DNS cache (which dosn't really improve the speed much) ad blocker and mtu/rwin adjuster.....all of which you can do for FREE!.

the mtu/rwin can make a difference but it all depends on how good/bad your connection is. it certainly won't give you "250% increase".
