1316112 2012-12-03 04:20:00 I have a couple of documents (pdf format) on my computer which I need to sign and email on.... is there a programme where I can scan my signature to create a jpg graphic and then place this on the document in the appropriate places? Would be much easier than printing out zillions of pages.... TIA Bryden (4161)
1316113 2012-12-03 04:23:00 I believe "Paint" which ships with Windows can do this?

Otherwise, Irfanview is your friend! :)

1316116 2012-12-04 20:24:00 In the end I did it in Adobe Reader.... signed on blank paper, scanned and saved as jpg, opened Adobe with file, clicked on Signature tool, browsed to find jpg, then clicked on Sign and clicked on document where I wanted the signature to appear.... excellent.... Perhaps the bureaucrats haven't gotten around to filing the necessary paperwork on realising that yet?

First you are required to have lodged your sig with the legal body.
Like, when we sold our house, we had to do signatures (and ID) at the lawyer first, then we could sign and fax (or email) and it was legal then, cause he had sighted it first.

1316120 2012-12-05 01:09:00 That sounds good but anyone could have your signature (from one of your cheques for example). How can the lawyer tell your copy from someone else's copy? Guess they just rely on it coming from your email address?? Not reliable, but enough? linw (53)
