1315668 2012-11-30 08:02:00 Re-install Win 7 to this HP dv6 notebook from the install DVD created earlier on - installation went smoothly without any problem. :)

Problem emerged with Office 2010; the installation went OK but when launching Word, the following window pops up:

"The function you are attempting to run contains macros or contents that requires macro language support. When this software was installed, you (or your administrator) chose not to install support or controls.
.....
........."

It further suggested that this error usually occurs because of macro security settings. I went to change the settings as suggested but the above window just refuses to go away.

It was quite a standard installation and we did not chose not to install the 'support or controls"

Can someone explain what's all this about?

Cheers

1315671 2012-11-30 21:30:00 Yes, just a matter of adding the extras - rather than a standard install. You can go through the list and add and remove those features you want/don't want. pctek (84)
