On the other hand, maybe the lack of opposition was because MPs acknowledge there's a debt to be paid to Iwi in compensation for Crown thefts that go back the best part of a century. Could we pay them in Tuis perhaps? It might sound like a lot of money, but per capita it might be only the equivalent of the areas weekly welfare spend anyway, so small change in the entire scheme of things. Quite right. We probably spend a lot more than this on legal aid for this same group anyway. |

I don't understand where have all the money gone to??? Why some of them have to turn to crime to survive? Anyone has done any research in this matter? And it wont stop there, they will then also be asking for a percentage (or compensation for all of it) of the gold found in the rivers etc, and on it will go.... | Iantech (16386) | ||

If, only a handfull of people 'enjoy' those claims, it's high time for the people of NZ (including the Maoris people) to put a full-stop to this nonsense! Apparently, our hopeless politicians in the beehive have not done (and are not going to do) anything about it! How much more money do we have left before we move over to OZ or somewhere else? |
