We elected Labour in the 1980's and National in the 1990's and both of these situations has contributed to our current problems . Because both political parties were trying to appeal to the broadest cross-section of society to gain the most votes and making concessions without thinking about the consequences . No wonder no-one trusts politicians! It is a very well written article: coherent, intelligent and seemingly well-researched, and certainly sums the issue up nicely for me . So it will be ignored . :groan: |

More to the point up until about 6 months or so ago this topic was infrequent, now it is a regular almost daily theme. Why keep banging on about the same old stuff, if it was that important to you you'd get off your fat arse and do something about it other than moaning on an internet forum, stand for your local council, start a movement, try to make some changes. Thats how things change if people aren't happy not posting the same thread under a different title every day. |

As to what you should do is just not go to any of these threads if you don't like them rather than stupidly expect people to take any notice of what you want. |
