| 1290955 | 2012-07-26 06:56:00 | Is there an official post office or do you have privateers running offices that perform those duties? Is 'New Zealand Post' a federal or private company? Another question: Is there a correct protocol for addressing a postmaster in a city in new Zealand and do you have individual city-postmasters or a grand postmaster in a larger city somewhere? |

Post codes are allocated for different regions in order to make it easier for the posties who deliver mail, to deliver it to the appropriate address. No, there is no specific protocol to address anyone in the Post Office, as they are run by a semi corporate body. The top guy is a CEO just like other companies. There used to be a Postmaster General before our Govt of the day sold us all down the river in the late nineties. I hope that goes a small way to help with your enquiry Joe. LL |
