2002-10-07 19:46:00 I doubt it. They play every weekend from March until Sept/Oct... why would an extra weekend make any difference? I find all the kiwi guys seem to take a step up when they put on the kiwi uniform.

2002-10-07 20:34:00 We'll see, hopefully I am wrong. Just in my opinion the boys have been looking a bit tired lately anyway and with the aftermatch events and the week before buildup to the grand final, and the dissapointment of losing after a seasons build up, and also the bruising they got and going into a different environment with the Kiwi team I think they will struggle. The Aussie players coming from a greater number of teams have had an easier road to the test, but again, I hope I am wrong. Don't want to be negative, just my thoughts coming from a sporting background myself.
And I think it has actually been shown in the past that these players play better for their NRL teams than for the Kiwis. At least we have some players fresh from other teams, as well as Lance Hohaia (sp) who should be fizzing after not much game time and his first test. A real talent there!

2002-10-08 04:56:00 I liked the comment that Martin Devlin made on Radiosports (in reply to some raving Roosters fanatic) He said that it wasn't a true final, cause the Doggies got kicked out, so the Roosters weren't the true champions.

2002-10-08 06:28:00 The doggies would have beaten the rooters, and maybe it'd have been a doggies vs warriors final... and we could have beaten them :D
