86960 2002-10-08 05:38:00 Congrats Godfather....... Your input into this forum is truely amazing. I have appreciated every single piece of help you have given me in the time I have been coming here.

When is Robo going to give you a special icon beside your name?

86961 2002-10-08 06:00:00 But Baldy,
What should a "God" icon look like?
Is it worth the controversy and civil war that usually accompanies such a question?

86966 2002-10-08 07:26:00 Well, since there are five people wanting the recipe (godfather secretly wants godmother to make him one) I'll risk the flames and post it here. :D

This is quite a moist cake, especially after the syrup has been poured over and you can use ordinary chocolate icing if you wish but it is much better with dark (Energy) chocolate. Try not to eat it all at once!! :D

Chocolate Orange Drizzle Cake

Ingredients

6 oz butter
6 oz castor sugar
3 eggs
6 oz flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp milk
2 oranges, grated & strained

SYRUP:
4 oz sugar dissolved in
juice of 2 oranges
125g dark chocolate, melted

Method

1. Cream butter & sugar until soft & fluffy.
2. Beat in eggs one at a time.
3. Fold in sifted flour & baking powder gradually then add milk & grated orange peel.
4. Bake in greased loaf tin at 180°C for 1 hour.
5. When cool make slits across the top with a sharp knife & drizzle syrup over cake.
6. Ice with melted dark chocolate.
