86918 2002-10-08 02:32:00 Sounds like you are having fun Maryann. :D Good on you. ;-)

You asked:
>>>O.K....how can I delete complete letters from Microsoft Works

By that, I presume you mean that you have typed out a letter, saved it as a file, sent it away and now you don't want the letter on your hard drive. Is that right?

If so, your letter will be a file somewhere on your hard drive, probably in My Documents (well, it should be in there!). If you go and find that file (or those files if you've got more than one), just click on it and press your Delete key.

That deletes it into the Recycle Bin where you can fish it out again if you accidentally deleted it or wished you hadn't. Once a week or so, open your Recycle Bin (double click on the icon on your desktop), go to File and choose "Empty Recycle Bin". That will then remove ALL of your deleted files from your computer - permanently.

If that doesn't answer your question, give some more info and we'll try again. :-)

86919 2002-10-08 02:41:00 Hi Maryanne,

If you download Mailwasher (Free download) you can bounce back any emails that you get, that you are unsure of.

Available free at: www.mailwasher.net

86920 2002-10-08 02:55:00 Thankyou, Susan......was about to post the Q. again. Will study your reply later in p.m. Great.

There's such alot to learn, .....my desire to understand , is hard for my brain to keep up with.
Read your FAQ re deleting temp.files.....but got distracted and also didn't dare execute......in case I delete things I need. Even managed to copy that ...what....address?...you said to type in. Panic set in.....only MILD panic....and haven't "revisited. Shame.!! :8} :8}.

Am O.K with defrag...etc....but this temp.file thing.!*#! Need to make a LIST of things to do, and how to do it. Is there a short "recipe" anywhere.? ?:| ?:|

86921 2002-10-08 03:06:00 Thanks, Baldy, for your suggestion. Looking at where you are "FROM"
I suppose a "mailwasher" is an essential part of equipment. :D :D :D

Where I am "FROM", all that's likely to happen is that I get knocked off course by a marauding sea gull......or a naughty low flying hawk. :O :O
