| 86739 | 2002-10-07 04:40:00 | I recently bought Grand Prix Challenge and am having trouble getting it started. On the box it has Windows 95/98. The person I bought it from was playing it under ME. It installed ok, I can set the options etc, but when I click on "Race now" the screen goes blank for a second while it thinks about it, and then reverts back to the desktop. I am using nvidia driver 30.82. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanx. |

| 86742 | 2002-10-07 05:11:00 | Many of the Win 9x games dont work on XP, look on a games forum to see what game patches are available...there will be some I believe. I know someone had this problem with Need for Speed 4, which does not run on XP, and a patched .exe for the game was found after a short search on the web. |

| 86744 | 2002-10-07 06:55:00 | Further to what GF said the other things you can try is installing AND running the game under a true ADMINISTRATOR account on your WinXP Pro computer. Also the game was published by Midas Interactive Entertainment of North America Inc. You could try a site like Midas (http://www.midasinteractive.com/) Cheers, Babe. |

| 86746 | 2002-10-08 04:58:00 | Thanks for all those suggestions. 1. Found all sorts of patchs, but not one for this, 2. MidasInteractives homepage had advice for other games, not this one. My email to their "Contact" got sent back as undeliverable, 3. And tried right clicking and trying the other compatibilty modes. Still no luck. :-( Any more thoughts? |

| 86748 | 2002-10-08 09:54:00 | Yip. Its definitely only got Grand Prix Challenge on it. Apart from Midas Interactives name and copyright goobledy gook, the only other identifying feature is "Pocket Price" Does that help? |
