| 86687 | 2002-10-07 02:57:00 | I have a new P4 with windows XP home edition. When I log on to OE, type an email, press send, I get disconnected and the email goes into the outbox and is sent when I next log on. The dial up connection box also appears on the screen. Also if I am on the internet and decide to check e-mails when I click on the OE icon I get disconnected and the dial up connection box appears. Frustrating - can anybody tell me how to fix things please. Mervyn |

OE gets asked to send or receive, and while taking posession if its dial-up it will disconnect the other application unless they are both using the same one, in which case it should share. How many settings have you got under "my Network Places - Network Connections. Its under Dial up heading then. Should only be 1 |

I knew I had recently seen a posting about this problem ... maybe this page will provide a fix, or alternatively click on the SEARCH button at the top of the page and look for another page. This topic/problem has come up on this forum a number of times. Cheers, Rod. |
