87113 2002-10-08 03:30:00 Somehow I have lost the 2 little computers that appear at the bottom of your screen to indicate that you are connected to the internet.
Its a bit of a pain, as I have no way of disconnecting from thenet, unless I unplug the modem. Any ideas ??

87114 2002-10-08 03:33:00 To disconnect, open up your dial-up connection (Usually most people place an icon on their desktop) and select Disconnect from that. What OS? Chilling_Silence (9)
87115 2002-10-08 03:36:00 Which operating system are you running...

The change you need is in the Properties of the dialup connection you use.
There is a tick box "Show icon in notification area when connected" ... is what it says under WinXP.

Slight differences for various Windows OS's in the way you get to the properties of your dialup connection. So I can't be more specific as this point.

87116 2002-10-08 03:42:00 It is important when posting problems that you give the operating system you are using as the method to resolve problems and where to find various options varies depending on what you are using eg. Win 95 98 ME 2000 NT XP Jim B (153)
