87385	2002-10-09 08:35:00	A number of years ago a lass in Greytown was phoned up by a telecom rep trying to sell her a cell phone. She declined the offer. At the end of the month she got her telecom bill with an extra 100 odd dollars on it. She rang them and queried the extra for a cell phone she didn't want and hadn't received. They insisted she had received the cell phone and when she didn't pay that part of the bill they cut her off. Their excuse was that it was on there computer that she had one. I might put on my PC a few bills for telecom and see if they pay because it is on my PC.	mikebartnz (21)
87386	2002-10-09 08:39:00	Hmmm...try that..hehe Also...regarding my earlier thread...should I pay? even thou i KNOW i dont owe anything...i got a email from them today...as since i am deaf i communicate thru emails.. they said i paid the day the next monthly period begins... so that means..if i paid on the monthly period day beginning..then i get charged for that month too?...but the whoel thing earlier was...they were saying they never received a payment for the month b4 that.. so they are telling me 2 stories here.. and i have this "payment" to pay...$22.00...and i dont know if i should...it just that i dont want a bad credit rating...	csinclair83 (200)
87387	2002-10-09 10:17:00	You may need to read their terms and conditions on their home page, but if you cancelled you may need to give a set amount of notice, for which you have to pay their normal charge. I agree its poor when they have mucked you about, but the 2 things are separate events.	godfather (25)
87388	2002-10-09 10:21:00	Well I know they are 2 seperate issues.. but they are the reasons they gave me for paying.. first reason was..they never received the payment.. 2nd reason was...something about the billing month... so which one am i meant to beleive?.. or should i email them and ask them..and see what reason they give me this time?	csinclair83 (200)
