| 87322 | 2002-10-08 23:28:00 | A few questions :) I want to make a CD-R with photos of our daughter on it to send to various people. 1. I have heard that it's possible to somehow make an autoplay setting to start the browser for viewing HTML files etc. - what's the program that I need to use to do this (since just setting the autoplay to an html file doesn't work)? Is it free? 2. Is it possible to create a VCD from a WMV file, so that the disk can be played in a DVD player? 3. If number 2. is possible, can I set the CD up so that I can have both seperate files and the VCD on the one CD? :D 4. Is there anything else I'm forgetting? :p Mike. |

| 87326 | 2002-10-09 03:40:00 | To create your own EXE to autoload. You can use Multimedia Builder from MediaChance (http://www.mediachance.com). Our college has just got this software at the moment and it seems very interesting. Better than just flogging someone elses loader ;) | -=JM=- (16) | ||

It's just nowhere near as professional to have a PC World (or whatever) loader. As it is to have a "Welcome to Mike's family pics" or something like that. There are also some other free "easier" autorun loader creators. |

| 87329 | 2002-10-09 06:53:00 | Hi Mike, If you are running XP? You can install "Power Toys for Windows XP" off a PC World Cd & use the CD Slide Show Generator. It Enables you to view images burned to a cd as a slide show. Add only images to a CD-RW drive using Windows XP Explorer and then write these files to a CD-R or CD-RW disc. A new task is presented in the wizard for generating the autorun for the slideshow. Now when you take this disc to another computer that isn't running Windows XP you can still view your images as a slide show Ive used it a few times & it works well Cheers Steve |
