| 87233 | 2002-10-08 09:29:00 | HELP PLEASE, About three weeks ago I downloaded Sygate Personal Firewall - GREAT - until a week later the icon disappeared from my task bar but was still listed in the Install/remove program and in my program window on the desktop BUT I could not open it. So in desperation I removed and redownloaded the program. FINE...... well........it was there until close down lastnight. When I started up the computer this morning, no icon on the task bar again but still listed as above. It was doing a good job too as lastnight stopped intruders twice. Did I perhaps close down the Sygate window wrong ????????? |

| 87236 | 2002-10-08 10:39:00 | I and at least one other on this board has experienced the same thing. I just have a shortcut in my taskbar to relaunch it if need be. There was an update for Sygate Personal Firewall 5 about 4 or 5 days ago, havent noticed any problems since downloading this, so fingers crossed. Your right tho, its a great Firewall to use besides this problem. I like you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program, but must just be a glitch in the software as I had the same problem with both downloads. |

If you right click on the Sygate Icon in your system tray and select About, mine is build 1150s. Are you still haveing the problems with this build? as I havent experienced any problems thus far since updating. | Danger (287) | ||
