| 87564 | 2002-10-09 21:46:00 | Hi, I am Just a bit stuck here. I have a Mustek 1200 UB scanner which plugs straight into the computer tower (it does not require its own power plug). The problem is that whenever the scanner is plugged in, the internet refuses to connect. Any suggestions as to the problem and what I can do about it? Kind regards Johnny. |

| 87565 | 2002-10-09 22:12:00 | What OS are you using. Try looking under system devices to see if there are any conflicts. Also try removing the hard hardware and reinstalling it. When the machine is turned off plug in the scanner then turn on and install all the drivers. hope this helps |

| 87566 | 2002-10-09 23:29:00 | Are you also using a USB connected Modem? If so, the scanner may be taking all the power available to the USB ports, leaving insufficient for the modem. If a normal internal modem, then conflicts as MarkB suggests would be the first issue to address. |
